Saturday was our baby shower at church. What an exciting day!
This is Halle and me getting ready to head for church. See Halle's frown? I think she knew she was going to have to get in her car seat!

This little outfit was a gift from Janelle (our cousin). It's so cute! Still a little big on Halle...but adorable. The shoes were from our friends, the Grant's.

It was really cold Saturday, so I bundled Halle in her little sweater coat that she got from Marian O'Brien (a lady at our church). I think it's so sweet and adorable.

This is my little buddy, Nathan, at the shower. He was very unhappy for a while because I couldn't hold him and Halle at the same time. He's still a little jealous!

This is the beautiful cake that Mrs. Anna Gregory made for the shower. There was chocolate cake, white cake, and marble cake. Yummmm! It was as good as it was beautiful.
These are the favors that were made for shower. What a precious little keepsake! They had candy inside. The glare made it hard to get a clear picture, but they were so cute.

Here is a picture of the place settings at the tables.

These are the game sheets....the poem is one that my mom wrote.

Everything was so beautiful and well-organized. Thank you so much to all of you who had a part in making this day so memorable and special.

Aunt Red did the devotions. She talked about the mothers in the Bible, and how God's Word is our "instruction manual" as mothers. She also shared her testimony of how God gave her a son after over 11 years of waiting. It was very special to me for her to share how God had worked in her life. I know that she has a unique understanding of how incredible and exciting it is for us to have Halle after waiting for so long.

Now comes lots of pictures of opening presents. This one is especially dear, because this afghan was crocheted by Memaw, Brian's grandmother, before she died. It has been set aside, and waiting for us for several years.

Makenna, our niece, was my gift helper. She brought me my packages and helped me open them. That was lots of fun for both of us! She is such a sweetie!

Several of the ladies of my church went together and bought the changing table that matches my new crib (some of the other ladies had already bought the crib and brought it to me). They also bought me a swing, and gave me money. What a blessing!

Aunt Jean bought Halle her first Steeler clothing. Halle can't be a Lott and not be a Steeler fan!

This is the snowsuit that Gramee Lott bought for Halle. I'm sure she'll got a lot of use out of it this winter. (Mommy prays for snow!)

Rachel (with the blond hair), helped with throwing away all of the wrapping paper. Nathan was "helping" by checking out all the toys. He especially liked the fishing pole that Bro. Stan bought for Halle!

Halle's new swing - Brian and I finally figured out how to put it together Saturday night.

Halle likes her new swing!

I just thought you'd like to see this...Halle still doesn't like light, and she often covers her eyes if it's bothering her. Here, she was trying to sleep and had her eyes covered up.

She has started laughing in her sleep! I know she doesn't realize she's doing it, but it's so cute and funny!

Ok, that's all for now. I know that's a lot of pictures, but I wanted all of you to share in the joy of my baby shower. What a wonderful day!
